Manual driving
Learning to drive a manual car
Manual driving lessons are by default the most requested form of driving lessons at our driving school.Collectively between all of our driving instructors in East London, we’ve had well over 500 students passing their manual driving tests. A great chunk of whom have also passed first time!Manual driving is no more difficult than automatic driving, both equally pose challenges and it simply comes down to personal preference of transmission. However, an advantage of learning manual over automatic is that once you’ve passed your driving test, your license will allow you to drive both transmissions. Our driving instructors are spread far and wide throughout East London, so we can get you paired with an ADI (approved driving instructor) immediately. Your instructor will be dedicated to you and present throughout your entire driving learning journeyWhen a learner begins taking driving lessons, the first thing they are taught is the basics of manoeuvring, as this is the only way to get the car going from one destination to another. There is minimal difference between an automatic and manual car in this respect. However, the bulk of lessons will be how to get from one destination to another with multiple obstacles, safely. That is no different with automatic driving lessons.Below you’ll find an exhaustive list of skills and techniques we help you master, with an automatic car or a manual car.
